WHERE THE MONEY GOES: Because of the BHS community's generous support through the scrip programs and response to our fund-raising letter, the Development Group was able to fund these proposals in February:
- Books for the English Department requested by teacher Amanda Green.
- Expenses for School Psychologist William Bove's young men's group.
Projects the Development Group has supported this academic year include:
A counseling department college trip program
- Forensic Debate Club tournaments
- A day-long workshop for BHS math teachers
- The Writers' Café and coach training for the WriterCoach Connection
- Software for the science department
- Publication of a Berkeley High 2006 Book of College Essays
- Academic Pathways tutoring
- A costume director for the drama department
